Hi, I’m Matt.
Living with a long-term health condition, or supporting someone who is, can bring many challenges. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, isolated, or simply unsure of how to move forward. Sometimes, you may just need a safe space to talk.
As a Psychological Therapist, I offer a supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever feels important to you. This may be connected to living with Huntington’s disease (HD), motor neurone disease (MND), Parkinson’s, or dementia, but it may also be about something entirely different.
Therapy can be an opportunity to explore the impact of changes in your life, relationships, identity, anxiety, low mood, grief, or uncertainty. I also recognise that a diagnosis or long-term condition can affect partners, family members, and carers, who may need space to explore their own experiences and emotions.
My own experiences, alongside my professional work, have given me a strong understanding of the value of feeling heard, understood, and accepted. I aim to work with you as a whole person, rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or symptoms.
I have experience supporting people from a range of communities, including LGBT+ communities, military personnel, veterans, frontline NHS staff, and their families. I offer an open, inclusive, and compassionate approach, tailored to your individual needs.
I am a qualified and registered Psychological Therapist, and I currently have no waiting list. If you feel ready to take the next step, I would be pleased to hear from you.
